TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A new group of entrepreneurs are graduating from a program giving them the training they need to have a start-up in the Capital City.
It's part of a eight-week program through Domi Station. Every week, participants got to hear from a guest speaker. They also had mentors to help them grow their businesses.
This group is diverse, with ideas from a new designer sun-glass brand to a community science lab for kids.
Wednesday night, participants had the chance to compete for $5,000, by presenting their idea.
Carl Forney won tonight's competition: "It really took us a lot further than we would have gotten in eight weeks and a lot further than we imagined we'd get."
Good news from all the participants: they all have decided the pursue their businesses following the program.
