VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--A dog in Valdosta is recovering after a cord was embedded in its neck.
Debbie Rumker with the B.A.R.C. Humane Society says the dog wandered up to the Lowndes County Human Resources building Thursday morning with an electrical cord tied around its neck.
The dog was taken to the Lowndes County Animal Shelter, then to a local veterinarian. The vet had to surgically remove the cord and now Ellie the dog is on antibiotics. Rumker says the dog needs a foster home.
