TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - More details are coming out about the nearly 40 Tallahassee city employees to be laid off in an effort to balance the city's 2018 budget.

The information is coming from a document that lists the names, ages and years of service of those to be laid off. It includes managers and executives making well over $100,000 a year.

That list includes the city's public works director, even the city manager's personal assistant.

Records show that affected employees will be offered severance packages with salary and health care benefits.

The city says they will also help them search for new jobs and even notify them of future positions with the city.

Although these are recommended changes, the city will refine them before they're officially adopted into the budget in September.
