TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Its now the final days of session, so what bills will make it and which ones will die. Some lawmakers still hoping to move priorities before Friday.
Medicaid expansion is at the top of the list.
Supporters of medicaid expansion were at the capitol today making their last minute pleas for lawmakers to expand medicaid to more than one-million uninsured Floridians.
State leaders have discussed a number of plans but have been unable to reach an agreement on whether or not to use federal or state dollars to expand medicaid.
Lawmakers say other issues like teacher evaluation system reform, repeal of the stand your ground law, and other gun regulated bills may not move the rest of this session.
If they don't, they could be revisited next year.
Of course we will continue to follow these last days of session and bring you the latest.
