TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The Chiles High School coach put on administrative leave Tuesday after a complaint that he hit a student has been relieved of his coaching duties, according to school officials.
A Leon County Schools spokesperson says Scott Gowan is still employed with the district, but is just no longer coaching.
Gowan was put on leave Tuesday after officials say students reported that Gowan hit a student.
The former coach was put on paid administrative leave pending an investigation by the district.
In August of 2015, Gowan was also put on leave after reports that a student complained that he was bullying and stalking her.
Tallahassee Democrat later reported that Gowan was cleared by the district after an investigation into that complaint.
