BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) - A driver distracted by her phone was hospitalized after she rear-ended a school bus in Bainbridge.

The Bainbridge Public Safety says that Faceville Highway was blocked Tuesday afternoon due to the accident.

They say the 20-year-old driver was distracted by her phone when she rear-ended a school bus stopped at the railroad tracks in from of the Georgia Industries for the Blind.

Authorities say the bus had its lights flashing and the "stop" sign displayed.

The bus was not loaded when the accident happened, though the driver was entrapped in the car and was later life-flighted to the hospital.
