TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A disaster recovery center is now open in Tallahassee.

Representatives from FEMA, the U.S Small Business Administration, and the State of Florida will be manning the center, located at the LeRoy Collins Main Library, offering assistance to those who need information about assistance programs and available resources.

"One of the big things we want to tell people is that if they need to come register for various reasons, whether or not they're insured or uninsured, these disaster recovery centers will be open to assist them," said Nikki Gaskins, Media Relations Specialist with FEMA. "They can come register, people can also check on their application status, and they can also meet with other agencies. We do have the Small Business Administration here."

The Disaster Recovery Center at Leroy-Collins will be open Sunday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Other centers will soon be open in affected areas.

Survivors can view locations by using the FEMA mobile app or by visiting FEMA.gov/DRC.
