Diesel and motor oil spill reported in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Officials say that between 30 to 40 gallons of diesel and 50 to 60 gallons of motor oil after a crane operator accidentally punctured two above ground storage tanks.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management says that the spills happened around 3 p.m. on Friday at 2778 West Tharpe Street. 

Clean up actions are currently being taken and the leakage has been stopped. 

They said that a crane operate accidentally hit and punctured two above ground storage tanks, spilling diesel and motor oil. 

FDEM says that neither of the chemicals got into any storm drains or waterways. No injuries occurred.
