TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A new development is coming to the corner of Monroe and Tennessee Street in Tallahassee.
Local real estate development, investment and management group, Hunter & Harp Holdings, will break ground on the project on Tuesday, February 12. The results of the "Gateway project", as it's being called, will be a mixed-use building. It's set to open spring 2014.
“Gateway will fulfill a retail need for the people who live and work in the downtown area, said Chad Kittrell, Hunter & Harp Holdings. “We’re looking forward to this statement building occupying a main corner of Tallahassee as it reflects the developments of larger markets with beautiful brick urban architecture.”
Local leaders and Kittrell expect the new development project to bring jobs and economic growth to Florida's capital city. Several leaders, including Tallahassee mayor John Marks, are expected to be present during Tuesday's event.
More information about the Gateway project will be announced during the groundbreaking. Construction will begin shortly after in mid-February.
Hunter & Harp Holdings is a driving force behind several projects and businesses in the Tallahassee community, including Hotel Duval, The Front Porch, and the Midtown Filling Station.
