BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) - Authorities believe a man and woman were killed earlier this week in retaliation for a burglary.

The Bradenton Herald (http://goo.gl/ERXMCe) reports that 38-year-old John Karl Tuxford was found shot five times in his vehicle Tuesday afternoon, and 23-year-old Jordan Finlon was found stabbed more than 30 times less than an hour later in northern Manatee County.

Detectives say they learned from a confidential informant Wednesday that the couple had broken into the home of 38-year-old Dwayne Cummings and stole $800. Cummings was arrested Thursday and being held on kidnapping and gun possession charges. The sheriff's office reports that murder charges are pending. Jail records didn't list an attorney.

Deputies have arrested Cummings' cousin on an unrelated warrant, but it wasn't immediately clear if he'd be charged in the killings. Authorities are still searching for a third possible suspect.
