Deputy Pulls Over Man for Speeding, Finds Drugs and Stolen Gun

VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - Deputies arrested a man, who they pulled over for speeding, and found 19 grams of heroin, 5 grams of crack and cocaine, a stolen handgun, and other drugs. 

Around 10 a.m. on Sept. 15, Lowndes County Sheriff's Office said a deputy clocked Deyonco Jackson going at 84 miles per hour on I-75 South in Valdosta. The deputy pulled Jackson over and said that he smelt the stench of marijuana coming from inside the car and noticed that Jackson was acting nervous. 

Deputies said that the car was searched and they found a stolen handgun, 19 grams of heroin, 5 grams of crack and cocaine, ecstasy, a bag of Alprazolam pills and scales. They also said all the drugs were packaged as if to be sold.

Sheriff Chris Prine said that they are continuing to investigate.
