LEESBURG, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a pedestrian is recovering after being hit by a Lake County Sheriff's deputy.
Florida Highway patrol officials say the unidentified pedestrian stepped in front of the deputy's patrol car Sunday night. The deputy was driving near Lake-Sumter State College and was on his way to a call. The deputy attempted to miss the man, but struck him and caused minor injuries.
The Orlando Sentinel (http://tinyurl.com/khmj7je ) reports the deputy has not been identified.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
