OCALA, Fla. (AP) - An Ocala man faces multiple charges after a sheriff's deputy found him unresponsive in his car, which was stopped at a traffic light.
Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Joseph Jenkins approached the car on Monday and tried to wake 23-year-old Chandler Wayne Neal, who had his foot on the brake. When Neal came to, he pulled a loaded black Glock .40-caliber handgun and held it across his chest with the barrel pointed at Jenkins.
The Ocala Star-Banner (http://bit.ly/1CHn5Kr ) reports Jenkins pushed the weapon away and ordered Neal to drop it. The two struggled until Jenkins was able to wrestle it away. The gun had 12 rounds of ammunition inside.
Neal's blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit to drive. Jail records don't say whether Neal hired an attorney.
