TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- One person was shot during an argument in Leon County Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting was reported just before 3 p.m. on Thunder Road near Lake Talquin in Leon County, said the sheriff's department.
Lieutenant James McQuaig said that the victim, 42-year-old Michael Johnson, and the suspect, 56-year-old Ross Mathews, got into an argument.
Deputies said that Mathews then walked into a shed and grabbed his handgun and shot Johnson in the arm. One witness told WTXL that the shooter was drunk and acting crazy while waving around his gun just before the victim was shot.
Johnson was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
Mathews was arrested for attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
