(WTXL) - Police in Florida started the new year by saving a woman from drowning after her car overturned on the side of a freeway.
Authorities say 33-year-old Amanda Antonio lost control of her SUV after another vehicle cut her off.
Antonio's vehicle careened off the interstate and overturned in a deep, water-filled ditch, leaving her trapped inside.
Deputies searched for the car through a dense fog.
One deputy finally spotted Antonio and helped her stay in an air pocket until the dive team arrived.
She was hospitalized with just minor injuries.
