Deputies: Permit Holder Fired Gun in Attempt to Stop Thomasville Strangling

THOMASVILLE, GA (WTXL) -- Deputies say charges are not expected to be filed against the person that fired gun shots Wednesday afternoon near North Pine Tree Blvd.

The Thomas County Sheriff's Office says four people were inside a car when they got into an argument and one of the rear passengers started strangling the driver.

Deputies say another person in the car fired one shot toward the floor of the vehicle in an attempt to stop the strangling.

That person did have a permit and is not expected to face charges, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say charges are pending against the person accused of strangling the driver.
