Deputies Looking for Victims to Claim Property Stolen on St. George Island

FRANKLIN COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - If you are one of the many people that visited St. George Island you may want to pay attention to some recent arrests made by the sheriff's department.

Multiple teens have been arrested following an ongoing investigation into several thefts that happened around July 4th.

Deputies said that all of the burglaries had one of two things in common; people either left their car unlocked or their rental home unlocked.

Items reported stolen include several ice chests, reel and rods, handguns, wallets, and loose change. The total amount of recovered items is estimated to be around $6,000, according to a news release sent out by the department.

During the course of the investigation, detectives said they were able to recover of a large quantity of the stolen property.
