TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office is investigating, after a resident returned to their Tallahassee home to find it burglarized, and their dog killed.
Deputies said the burglary happened on October 26th on the 5500 block of Mossy Top Way, sometime between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.
They said that the victim came to his home in Lakewood Village, and noticed several items out of place, his dog Bentley dead in the hallway, and several firearms stolen.
Deputies said it appeared that Bentley had been hit in the face and killed by the suspects.
