WAKULLA COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - A Crawfordville woman was arrested Sunday for battery after punching an officer in the face after she crashed into someone's yard.
Officers found 50-year-old Sonya Hall after she had crashed into a yard on Revell Road. The two officers on scene suspected that she had been drinking.
While one of the officers was questioning Hall, they say that she became angry and punched him in the face. The officer only suffered minor injuries from the incident.
According to the Wakulla County Sheriffs Office, officers searched her vehicle and found a prescription bottle with different pills and a bottle with an unknown liquid.
The sheriffs office says that Hall is charged with driving under the influence, battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, and possession of a Schedule IV drug without a prescription.
Once Hall was brought to the Wakulla County Jail, officers say she then attempted to attack a detention deputy. They had to use pepper spray in order to handcuff her.
