TALLAHASSEE, Fla., (WTXL) - Four arrests are made in a counterfeit check cashing scheme, after some bank employees informed deputies of a man attempting to cash a fraudulent check.

Leon County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Bradfordville branch of Suntrust Bank on Thomasville Road, Friday, where they found suspect, Jose Rosario, inside.

Deputies located three others, traveling with Rosario, in a rental car parked in the bank parking lot.

Evidence, including a computer and printer, was found in the vehicle which was used to manufacture counterfeit bank checks, fraudulent credit cards and fake identification documents.

Jose Rosario, Miguel Sanchez, Federico Blanco and Laura Pena were arrested and taken to the Leon County Jail.

Financial Crimes Detectives responded and determined that the group had traveled from Tampa, Florida to commit organized fraud crimes.

The investigation is ongoing, and more charges and/or arrests are possible.

Detectives believe this group may have targeted other banks and businesses in the Tallahassee area.

They ask anyone with information or those who may have been a victim of this group’s financial crimes to contact the Leon County Sheriff's Office at 850-606-3300.
