MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - An armed and dangerous man who threatened to kill officers after attempting to break into a Madison County home has been arrested.
John Anthony Russell has surrendered himself to Madison County Sheriff’s Office Investigators at a location in Taylor County without further incident.
They say Russell didn't have a gunshot wound and was found to be without any injuries.
Russell will be turned over to Taylor County deputies and transported to the Taylor County Jail were he will be booked on Madison County arrest warrants.

MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The manhunt continues for an armed and dangerous man who threatened to kill officers after attempting to break into a Madison County home.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has active felony arrest warrants for John Anthony Russell for his involvement in an incident that occurred in Madison County on Thursday.
MCSO says Russell attempted to break into the home near the Madison/Taylor county line. The homeowner, who knows Russell, fired multiple shots at him.
It's unclear if Russell was hit by any of the shots, though deputies say Russell may be suffering from a gunshot wound or other injury to his abdomen sustained during the incident.
Investigators later learned that Russell made threats by phone to kill all law enforcement officers who find him. Deputies say Russell should be considered armed and dangerous.
If anyone has any information about the location of John Anthony Russell, you are asked to call 911 immediately. Do not approach him.
Russell is described as a 48-year-old white male, around 5-foot-4 tall, weighing 165 pounds with “salt and pepper” hair and hazel eyes.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans and no shirt with a last known address in Lamont, Florida. He is wanted for burglary and aggravated assault.

MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A manhunt is underway for a suspect who tried to break into a home on the Madison/Taylor county line but ran away when he got shot at by the homeowner.
The Madison County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook that multiple deputies responded to a home near the Madison/Taylor county line located on U.S. 19/U.S. 27.
Deputies with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with deputies of the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office are actively searching locations in Taylor County for John Anthony Russell, who is wanted for his involvement in an attempted burglary on Thursday.
The homeowner, who knows Russell, fired multiple shots at him. MCSO said it is unclear if Russell was hit by any of the shots.
Deputies deployed a K-9 and tracked Russell to a location where a car was recently parked.
MCSO said it is believed Russell then returned to Taylor County. According to MCSO, Russell is described as a 48-year-old white man, 5-foot-4, weighs 165 pounds with “salt and pepper” hair.
Russell was last seen wearing blue jeans and no shirt and has since made threats to kill law enforcement when he is found.
Russell is considered armed and dangerous. If anyone has any information about the whereabouts of Russell you are asked to call 911 immediately.
They are asking residents to not approach Russell if they see him.
