TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Democratic party leaders have chosen a new chairwoman of the Florida Democratic Party.
Saturday party leaders chose Allison Tant, a major fundraiser for President Obama.
The decision is their next step in looking towards the 2014 gubernatorial race.
Tant released a statement saying that she is looking forward to working towards defeating Governor Rick Scott and electing democrats up and down the ticket.
Her fund-raising experience could be very important as democrats try to unseat Scott next year and win a gubernatorial election for the first time since 1994.
