Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL)--Tallahassee police chief Michael Deleo is back in Capitol City after answering the call from our nation's capitol to participate in the 21st century policing briefing.
Deleo was selected to represent t-p-d along with hundreds of other law enforcement heads across the nation.
The conference focused on ways law enforcement could build better relationships with its citizens.
Deleo says his department had mastered a lot of recommendations discussed at the conference, specifically community policing.
"It should be very reassuring for the community to know that we've implemented a lot of those recommendations" says Deleo.
Deleo says the biggest take away from the conference was the presentation on social media along with the discussion on use of force.
Either way he says he's always eager to learn new ways to better serve our community.
