BAINBRIDGE, GA (WTXL) -Investigators have opened up a death investigation for an unidentified body found in the woods.
According to investigators, the body was found Thursday in a wooded area in the 2100 block of Dothan Road. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Decatur County Sheriff's Department to assist in the death investigation.
Investigators said the body will be transported to a crime lab for an autopsy. The identity of the individual will be released after they identify the body and notify the family.
