CRESTVIEW, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say two people are dead after a head-on collision involving two pickup trucks in the Florida Panhandle.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that 35-year-old Matthew Brown was driving on U.S. 90 near Crestview Tuesday evening when he crossed into the oncoming lane and crashed into 52-year-old Janet Jackson.
Both drivers died at the scene. A 9-year-old boy in Jackson's truck was airlifted to a Pensacola hospital in critical condition.
The Northwest Florida Daily News (http://goo.gl/oNc6CQ ) reports that the road was shut down for several hours after the crash.
