DCF Honors Local Leaders for Black History Month

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Department of Children and Families alongside former NFL coach Tony Dungy will celebrate Black History Month by honoring local African-American leaders. 

According to the DCF, the event will honor locals for their dedication to improving their communities, exceptional leadership, and support of safe and self-sufficient families.

The Black History Celebration is free and open to the public and will feature a performance by local singers Anita Franklin and Lil Honesty. It will take place on Wednesday, February 22nd at 9:30a.m.
