SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) - Officials say the father of a missing baby has been extradited from South Carolina to Florida and charged with child neglect and felony murder.

Sarasota County jail records show that 36-year-old Joseph Walsh was booked into the facility Tuesday.

Officials say they believe they found the body of Chance Walsh after receiving a tip last week. The child was born in July, and his grandparents told officials they'd last seen him in September.

Officials say Walsh should have a first-appearance hearing Wednesday. He's being held without bail.

The child's 32-year-old mother, Kristen Bury, was extradited from South Carolina last week. She also faces charges of felony murder and child neglect.

It's unclear whether they've retained attorneys.
