Early Morning Shooting in Valdosta, Suspect Arrested in Alabama

VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) -- Valdosta Police respond to early morning shooting after 911 call.

Police say that that 23-year-old Jabe Hepburn turned himself over to authorieties in Evergreen, Alabama. Deputies say that Hepburn is being charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Assault, 1 count of Possession of a Firearm During a the Commission of a Crime and 3 counts of Home Invasion in the First Degree.

According to police: "On September 19, 2014 at approximately 3:30 a.m. a call was made to 911 regarding a known offender who had entered an apartment at 1601 Norman Drive and fired multiple shots from a handgun both inside and outside the apartment.

Three victims were inside the apartment and were able to avoid direct contact with the suspect. After firing several shots inside the apartment, the offender left the scene.

One victim reported a minor injury to her foot that did not require medical attention.

Witnesses and victims provided vital information to the police regarding the incident.
