VALDOSTA, GA. (WTXL) - The Valdosta Fire Department responded to an apartment fire on the 2000 block of Bemiss road Sunday afternoon.
Fire personnel found heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear bedroom of the apartment. No residents were inside of the building at the time of the fire.
Damages are estimated at $5,000, and the cause is still being investigated. The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
