CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. (WTXL) - The 1,000 mile Florida National Scenic Trail is in the running to win a $25,000 grant from Michelob Ultra.
It's a part of the company's superior trails competition in partnership with the American Hiking Society.
St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge hosts about 40 miles of the trail.
If the trail wins the grant, it will be used for 30 volunteers who will work for 24 hours to construct a 350 foot boardwalk so passengers can navigate the 40 mile stretch safely.
The trail is currently leading the competition with more than 3,000 votes.
