TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A soon-to-be dad is a millionaire after claiming a $2 million prize from a Florida Lottery scratch-off game.

The Florida Lottery announced that Christopher Bunger, 35, of Crawfordville, claimed a $2 million top prize from the $10 MONOPOLY™JACKPOT Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,430,000.00.

According to officials, Bunger said he was in shock when he saw his ticket was a winner. “This couldn’t have come at a better time," he said. "We’ve been looking at buying a house and my wife just found out she’s pregnant!”

Bunger purchased his winning ticket from Sunoco, located at 6011 Springhill Road in Tallahassee. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $10 game, MONOPOLY JACKPOT, launched on July 2, and offers more than $176 million in prizes, including eight top prizes of $2 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-3.44.
