CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. (WTXL)-- A Crawfordville man is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after a fight over a cell phone.
Deputies say 37-year-old Carl Michael Wharton accused an 18-year-old man of stealing his cell phone. It happened in the area of Raker Lane in Crawfordville.
Deputies say the victim tried to protect himself from Wharton, but Wharton ended up cutting him on his wrist with a pocket knife.
The victim was taken to the hospital. Deputies did not find the phone.
