JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Troopers have reported an accident involving two semi-trucks that has sent one to the hospital for serious injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol said that around 7:30 a.m. Friday morning, two semis, driven by Jose Diaz and Aurelio Martinez respectively, were traveling westbound on I-10.
They said that while they were both in the right lane, Diaz was distracted by something inside of the truck, causing him to hit the back of Martinez's semi.
Diaz's car traveled into the ditch while Martinez was able to make a controlled stop in the emergency lane near mile marker 137.
Troopers said that Diaz was transported to the South East Dothan hospital for serious injuries.
They said that charges are pending investigation.
