TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Counselors are available at Florida High School in Tallahassee to help students cope with the loss of a bus driver, killed in a crash.
Florida High School students were returning from a track meet in Jacksonville when deputies say their school bus was hit by a drunk driver early Friday morning.
It happened at the intersection of Apalachee Parkway and Connor Blvd.
The bus driver William Fowler died following the crash. One coach and two students were taken to the hospital to be treated for non life threatening injuries.
Florida High is providing grief counselors for any students or faculty who need them.
Sarah Walker is the driver who deputies say caused the crash. She is charged with driving under the influence. She's now out of jail on $1,000 bond.
