VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — South Georgia Medical Center announced Wednesday that it will expand its COVID-19 vaccination efforts to their Berrien and Lanier campuses beginning Jan. 25.
Vaccinations will be by appointment only and recipients must meet the qualifications outlined by the Georgia Department of Health, according to a press release.
Current eligible Georgians for the COVID-19 vaccine are:
- Healthcare workers (physicians, nurses, laboratory technicians, EMS personnel, environmental services, etc.)
- Residents and staff of long-term care facilities
- Adults aged 65+ and their caregivers
- Law enforcement, firefighters, first responders
The SGMC Berrien Campus is located at 1221 E. McPherson Ave. in Nashville, Ga.
The SGMC Lanier Campus is located at 116 W. Thigpen Ave. in Lakeland, Ga.
Appointments can be made online by clicking here, and after receiving their first shot, patients will be scheduled for their second shot.
