More than 1.5 million people around the world have recovered from coronavirus

(WTXL) — As of Wednesday, May 13, more than 1.5 million people around the world have won the fight against COVID-19.

According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University's Coronavirus Resource Center, 1,510,814 people have recovered from COVID-19.

The data shows that most of the recoveries were in the United States and Germany followed by Spain and Italy.

In the U.S., there have been just over 230,000 recoveries. The U.S. has reported the most positive cases nationwide at more than 1.3 million.

Florida is currently at 42,402 cases while Georgia is at 35,245 cases.

Across the world, 4,298,269 have tested positive for the virus. John Hopkins' data shows 293,514 people worldwide have died from COVID-19.
