LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Leon County has 11% of its adult ICU beds available, according to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration's website.

As of Wednesday afternoon, eight out of Leon County's 72 adult ICU beds are available.

ABC 27 reached out to Capital Regional Medical Center who confirmed they are currently treating 12 COVID-19 patients, however they stress that not all of those patients are in the ICU.

CRMC has a dedicated COVID-19 unit for infected patients. If that patient later needs a higher level of care, they are then moved to the ICU.

Right now, CRMC has 65 percent bed capacity in ICU. Due to HIPPA laws, hospitals can't share if the patients that are currently in the ICU are COVID-19 patients or not.

We've also reached out to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital about how many COVID-19 patients they're currently treating. We're still waiting to hear back.
