TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Florida State University is partnering with the Leon County Department of Health to begin vaccinating staff 65 and older and eligible students.

The school received both Moderna and Pfizer vaccines and vaccinated 100 healthcare workers last week, and 60 seniors today.

They already have 200 appointments scheduled for this week.

Ryan Pagel, associate director of Clinical Operations at University Health Services said after this week they plan to increase the number of vaccinations.

"Next week we are relocating our operations to the Tucker Civic Center and so we intend to scale up the quantity of vaccinations that we do each day," said Pagel.

Pagel says they will continue vaccinating people as long as it is needed.
