TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — At Care Point Health and Wellness, frontline workers are receiving the first doses of the Moderna vaccine.

The clinic received just over two dozen doses of the coronavirus vaccine this week.

The medical director says he hopes to be able to give it out to patients sometime later this winter or in early Spring, but staff comes first.

"We had 30 doses and we're planning on giving it to our frontline workers, providers, nurses, front desk staff who actually have contact with patients," said Dr. John Applebaum, the Medial Director at Care Point.

Appelbaum says he wanted to get the first dose to set an example to people who are skeptical about getting the vaccine.
