(WTXL) — According to Friday's report from the Florida Department of Health, a 6-year-old Hillsborough County girl is the youngest Floridian to die from the coronavirus.
Friday's report states that the child's death was counted on Monday, Aug. 17 but is a 'newly identified death.' Right now, the state report says its unknown of the child's case was travel-related or if she came in contact with a known case.
According to the state's pediatric report, the 6-year-old is the 8th child to die in Florida from coronavirus.
