TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department has arrested a convicted Florida felon for a shooting incident Sunday on Stuckey Avenue.

Jerald Williams, 27, was found in the area of 1602 Stuckey Avenue after police received reports of gun shots Sunday night.

A witness said Williams fired three shots into the air while arguing with another man.

After a search warrant was obtained for Williams’ residence, investigators located a 9 mm handgun, TPD said in a news release Tuesday. The gun had been previously reported stolen during a residential burglary reported to TPD on April 2, 2018.

Williams was arrested for the stolen firearm found in his possession. The firearm was impounded at the Tallahassee Police Department as evidence.

Williams was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility for processing.
