TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A convicted felon faces several firearm charges after he walked up to a car the victim was riding in, made a threat with a handgun, and fired several shots into the air.
Trey Jarrod Wiggins, 25, was booked into the Leon County Detention Facility on Wednesday, records indicate.
Wiggins is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated assault, and discharging a firearm in public, according to a probable cause complaint filed by a Tallahassee Police Department investigator.
On September 4, 2017, Wiggins became upset with the victim for leaving a house to go to the store without telling him, the court document said.
He then called the victim, who was riding back to the house in a friend's car. Wiggins flagged down the vehicle and, when it stopped, yelled at the victim to get out of the vehicle.
After the victim refused to leave the car, Wiggins pointed a handgun at the victim and the driver sped off as Wiggins fired the handgun into the air multiple times.
Wiggins has already been convicted of selling misbranded drugs and possession of a controlled substance, the complaint said.
His first court appearance was set for Thursday.
