Construction of new FSU building slows traffic

Posted

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A heads up for drivers: traffic patterns are disrupted in Tallahassee as roadblocks appear on Tennessee Street and Woodward Avenue. There are detours in place on Railroad Avenue, as well.

Construction crews say the traffic disruption is the result of the "Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science Building" at Florida State University, a project that broke ground in October. When it's completed, it'll be seven stories tall and 130,000 square feet in size.

Crews say the roadblocks will be in place through the end of July.
