LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - On Monday, road work begins begins in Crawfordville to repair more than $40,000 worth of damages.

It stems from a storm in August that washed out a section of Hilliardville road. The need for the repairs is crucial for the surrounding area. If it is not repaired soon the road could fail which would affect a neighborhood of about 20 houses.

The Natural Resources Conservation Service has determined the damage an immediate threat to life and property. NRCS is providing funds to Wakulla County through the Emergency Watershed Protection Program.
