Cone Distributing founder donates $10,000 to Eastpoint fire victims

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A local beverage distributor has donated $10,000 to help Eastpoint fire victims according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.

Doug Cone, the founder of Cone Distributing, dropped by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office with a $10,000 check to help those affected by the destructive fire.

According to deputies, when FCSO raises $10,000 more via their GoFundMe, Cone will donate an additional $10,000 to match the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office is asking you to share the news in an effort to raise the money.

You can donate to FSCO's GoFundMe here. As of the GoFundMe's creation on June 25, more than $100,000 have been raised. Any donations to the GoFundMe, which will be administered by FCSO, will directly benefit and go to the victims.

You can also mail or drop off checks to the sheriff's office at 270 SR 65, Eastpoint, Florida 32328.
