LIVE OAK, Fla. (WTXL) - Starting today, residents in Suwannee County can go to the tax collector to apply for or renew a state concealed weapon licenses.
"Our goal is to provide Floridians the most convenient and efficient experience possible when applying for or renewing their concealed weapon licenses, and partnering with local tax collectors across the state helps us to accomplish this," said Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam. "I thank Suwannee County Tax Collector Sharon W. Jordan for working to provide Floridians the best experience possible when seeking a concealed weapon license."
This partnership with the Department of Agriculture allows tax collectors to receive applications, take fingerprints and photographs and send the information to the department and consumer services to process the request for a concealed weapon license.
You can also still apply via mail or at a regional office in the state, including the one in Tallahassee.
