TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL) - The full city of Tallahassee Ethics Board meets for the first time.

At the board's March 12th meeting, the four existing members appointed two additional members to fill out the six-member board.

Board members now include Lila Jaber, Cecil Davis, Funmi Ojetayo, Renee McNeill, Richard Herring, and Thomas Friedman.

At Monday's meeting, Ethics Officer, Julie Meadows-Keef delivered an extensive report outlining her duties, since she began working with the city in September of last year. Also during the meeting, a decision was made to appoint Lila Jaber as the board's chair, along side Richard Herring as the vice chair.

Members say they feel confident about the direction of the group and the dynamic of its representatives. The board's next meeting will be held on Monday, April 6th.

Voters approved the creation of an ethics board in November. It exists to develop an ethics code, manage the city's ethics and fraud hotline, and train all employees and officials with state and local ethics requirements.
