TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Would you believe it if you heard that more than 700 million people in the world live on less than two dollars a day?

Well, it's true, and thanks to the Compassion Experience, you're able to get you an inside look at those types of living conditions."

"The compassion Experience is the best way to be able to experience what life is like in a third world country without really leaving your home," says Dylan Brightbill a tour representative for the Compassion Experience.

Friday morning, the Compassion Experience set up their trucks to allow the community to have an up close and personal experience living in the third world.

"You're going to get your own ipod, a set of head phones, and you're going to get a guided walkthrough tour," explains Brightbill. "You're going to go through about 6 different rooms and in each of those, you'll start off hearing the actual persons story this is."

What better way to immerse yourself than to experience it. WTXL's Jennifer Meyers grabbed a headset and took the tour. What you're seeing is Rueben's story; a boy who left a drunk and abusive father in the middle of the night with his mother and sister.

"We go the the poorest regions of the 26 different countries that we are in and along with church leaders, local community leaders and the parents in the communities, we find the kids in the families who are in the most need and give them the opportunity to come to the compassion program," says Brightbill.

The Compassion Experience is a sobering look at what some go through in different parts of the world.

The Compassion Experience is in Tallahassee until February 6th, free to attend, and suitable for all ages. It's located in the parking lot of Celebration Baptist Church.
