Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL)--On Mar. 9 the Tallahassee Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta held their second annual Community Play Day.
The day's activities were a part of their annual "Impact" Day, which stands for Inspiring and Motivating Public Service Advocates for Community Transformation.
The group partnered with the City of Tallahassee's Department of Parks and Recreation to host the event. Attendees learned about fitness and wellness by participating in activities like an "amazing race" and a "mob" style dance choreographed to Beyoncé's "Move Your Body", which has been featured as part of First Lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign.
The event was held at the Jack McClean Community Center and supported Capital City Youth Services.
Community Vendors included the Bond Community Health Clinic, Big Bend AHEC, Destiny Center, Jazz Playhouse and Fit for Life.
