TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Community members met on Monday to discuss their plans on how to make the Southside area of Tallahassee grow and improve its reputation.
The South City Revitalization Council has taken on the difficult task of transforming the image of a neighborhood by hosting a national community revitalization speaker and a community meeting.
The Tallahassee residents in the area said they want to see their community change for the better. The goal of Monday's event was to start planning ways to reduce crime and develop housing.
Another public event is scheduled for Tuesday evening at Nefertiti's Restaurant on Macomb Street.
